We’re proud to announce that we’ve partnered with Furthr to empower businesses to create a climate-positive workforce, by driving sustainable employee behaviours.

Furthr provides the opportunity for employees to plant protected trees, measure and reduce their carbon footprint. They also provide access to renewable energy solutions, restore wildlife habitats, and create employment for poverty-stricken communities.

Both businesses have a strong belief that employers seeking sustainability goals like Net Zero commitments or B-Corp certification can have a genuinely positive impact on the planet, and importantly, job seekers are continually looking to prospective employers to ‘walk the walk’. This includes the provision of employee benefits and reward packages that are truly in line with their personal values.

Over the last 18 months, there has been a measurable positive change in our environment, due to the global pandemic which led to reduced travel both in and out of work. Global carbon dioxide emissions fell by 6.4%, or 2.3 billion tonnes, in 2020. This has awakened an even larger proportion of people than before to the true effects of their travel impact on the environment and the climate emergency.

As we go ‘back to normal’, this partnership will provide those in strategic HR roles with aggregated, real-time data that can be used to influence and support business objectives surrounding organisational sustainability – as well as providing employees with their own individual data.

Tobin Murphy-Coles, CEO at Amba commented – ‘HR absolutely has the power to support organisational sustainability goals, like Net Zero commitments or B-Corp certification. Employees are also consumers, and they look favorably upon prospective employers who offer benefits that match their values. For over 50% of the workforce, that includes sustainability and carbon neutrality.

We’re arming HR with pragmatic, evidence-based solutions to increase the credibility of their employer brand, attract and retain top talent, and genuinely make a difference to the planet. Working with Furthr as a part of our ESG solution, Lumina, is great progress for that mission.’

Henry Bishop, Co-founder & Director at Furthr commented- ‘We’re over-the-moon to be supporting Amba on their cutting-edge Lumina solution. No one can deny that our climate crisis is a complex challenge, but complex challenges present the opportunity to bring communities together and drive impactful solutions. With Amba’s expansive and engaged employee base, we can’t wait to see the positive impact we deliver together: from driving funding into our global climate solutions, to inciting collective sustainable behaviour change.’
