PES achieves IASME Gold standard accreditation
PES has taken another huge step forward in demonstrating our commitment to data privacy and security by achieving Gold standard IASME (Information Assurance for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises) accreditation.
This means that our clients can rest assured that we have been independently audited and found to be General Data protection Regulation (GDPR) compliant, as well as demonstrating a host of other privacy and security measures.
PES is one of only a few IASME certified businesses to have achieved Gold. We were commended by the auditor for the thoroughness and high standard of our processes and documentation.
The benefits of IASME certification are:
- reduced risk of cyber attacks by strengthening physical and system security
- increased resilience in the event of system failures or disasters
- ongoing compliance with standards via ‘plan, do, check, act’ methodology
- increased protection of staff, clients, stakeholders and our supply chain
- proactive risk management.
The IASME Governance standard can be achieved by self-assessment, but the Gold standard can only be attained by submitting to an on-site audit, and demonstrating GDPR compliance.

About IASME
The IASME Governance standard was developed over several years by a consortium of organisations with government funding. The objective was to create a cyber security standard which would be an affordable and achievable alternative for smaller businesses to the international standard, ISO27001.
The standard is based on international best practice, is risk-based and includes aspects such as physical security, staff awareness, and data backup. The IASME standard was recently recognised as the best cyber security standard for small companies by the UK Government when in consultation with trade associations and industry groups.
