PES appoints Andrew Drake and Mary Short to the Board
Award-winning employee benefits and wellbeing intermediary PES has appointed Andrew Drake as its new Business Development Director, and Mary Short as Finance Director.
Following a significant investment from private equity firm Chiltern Capital, the new appointees bring a wealth of experience to the PES Board.
Andrew (pictured right) joins PES from JLT, where he was initially Head of Rewards and Benefits Consulting and then Proposition Director. Prior to that he held senior client-facing roles at Thomsons Online Benefits and Capita Employee Benefits.

Mary Short was Finance Director and Company Secretary at Sustain, an energy and carbon management consultancy, before joining PES. During her six years in that role, she helped create value through market diversification, employee ownership and treasury management, culminating in a successful sale of the business to Anthesis Group.
‘I’ve had first-hand experience of what a business goes through during a period of change and I’m looking forward to helping PES manage this phase of its journey,’ said Mary.
She qualified as a Chartered Management Accountant in 1999 and has worked across a variety of sectors from engineering, property services and dairy processing to energy and carbon management.
Mary has specialised in establishing financial controls and processes for growing businesses as well as implementing accounting systems to provide excellent management information.
