What do the pride flags mean?

Why are pride flags so important?

Being able to relate and identify with others like you is a huge part of accepting yourself in a society that typically doesn’t. Having a visual representation of your identity, such as a pride flag, makes it easier to spot others like you out in the world. As well as being a celebration of identity, pride flags can also indicate safe spaces and represent a sense of community. This ultimately helps a group of vulnerable and marginalized people feel a little safer, welcome and accepted.

Putting up pride flags in the workplace, even if just for pride month, can be a great way of showing your acceptance for your LGBTQIA+ employees, whether they are out or not.
